Hello everybody,
My boyfriend got me a Bulgari Torcello for engagement ring with a hung surprise. :o
He has been asking me what kind of ring I like. I had no idea he is gonna pick the one I like at Bulgari.
I liked it a lot However when i find out how much he pay for it. It was $7800.00
Platinium ring
GIA 0.70ct /F /VS2
round brilliant
We still have time to exchange it in 30days. No return only exchange....
I'm thinking about exchange this ring to 0.50 or 0.30 ct and buy our wedding band for the price of this ring.
We was gonna buy Bulgari B.ZERO1 for a wedding ring anyway.
I know it's more expensive than a regular diamond ring because of the name brand.
I would appreciate it very much if you could give me any advice.
I still can't make up my mind. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks for your time!!

Lauren =)

Congratulations on your engagement!!

What kind of budget do you have? Honestly I think designer rings are overpriced and I would not pay the premium for the name brand. Since you cannot return the ring for a refund I would return the ring get the wedding bands you two want and shop for your diamond somewhere else. This is what I would do if I were in your situation.

You could also exchange your diamond for a smaller one but I'm not sure how that is going to look in the setting. The shoulders of the ring might overpower the diamond and make it look more like a band. You could choose a more delicate setting and reduce the carat weight this would keep the same proportions you have now.

I hope this helps. Let us know what you decide :-)

I really think that since you can't return it, you should just keep the one you have. No point in trying to spend $7800 on a little solitaire and wedding bands. I think if you have a Bulgari ring, it would be a little strange to have a .30 diamond in it! Enjoy what you have and don't worry about it since you can't return it. I think it is rotten they don't have at least a brief return period, though!

The ring is really modern and beautiful!

Congrats on your engagement!

Tough choice. If you are really in love with the setting, the stone, and the proportions, etc. I would keep the ring you have and get yourwedding bands elsewhere.

However, if you like the wedding bands more than the engagement ring you have now, return it for the wedding bands and get your engagement ring elsewhere.

IMO the ring is really pretty and eye catching.

wow,I think it's sooo pretty. I would like to keep it and find a pair of wedding band in elsewhere.

I like it and think it looks great on your hand. I'd keep it and get a wedding band elsewhere.

Congratulations Trust! That is a stunning ring - very substantial and looks like the low set diamond will be well protected from life's wear and tear! The shoulders will help with protection.

I'm in agreement with the others above - explore other options elsewhere in a budget you are both more comfortable with. There are so many wonderful vendors online, you'll find something you'll fall in love with!

I know...I attached the link because of its lovely pictures...

@trust419: due to its peculiar design, the B zero 1 is a ring with a strong personality...I love it and I'd rather have a smaller diamond in a particular setting than a bigger diamond in a more common setting...
