Thanks for the suggestion. I did look at some tension setting initially. I think they look very cool that you can see pretty much the whole profile view of the diamond. But I find that a bit too contemporary and also worry about how secure it holds the diamond.
So i think I'll stick with prong setting. So maybe diamondseeker is right. Ultimately, I'll be choosing one of the 4 or 6 prongs setting. Within 4/6 prongs setting, some do let you have a good profile view of the diamond, e.g. Vatche's royal crown.
Regarding the flame, I got a picture with the flame , and in this picture it seems that you can still see the profile view ok if there are no sidestones. But again, the picture is blown up, so maybe in real life, the holes are probably too small just like what diamondseeker said.
Another I saw was also from Mark's , his site didn't mention its name only said "BT wedding set". But you can see it here. But I am not sure if this is just his customer work.
