Deciding between two different 2.6ct emerald cut LGDs - what's your take?

Currently trying to decide between the following two emerald cut diamonds:

With the 2nd option being $8,500 ($500 more than the first, larger diamond).

Hi, don't confuse carat weight with size. The second diamond is actually larger than the first diamond based on Lx W face up. Also, the second diamond has a better Color and clarity. I would go with diamond 2.

That's a great point! Indeed the dimensions and depth tell a different story vs. ct.

One interesting thing to note - all of the IGI reports from this vendor have the exact same diamond image ("photo enlarged" section on the PDF). I compared them all side-by-side and they are literally pixel-identical. Does this raise any concerns with you?

I can't speak about specific stones, or vendors.....but in general....
Not all F color IGI stones are equal.......I've seen quite a few that have a brownish tinge ( even IGI graded F colors, which is really wrong IMO) but they're out there....
It makes comparing prices extremely difficult.
Another general rule....pictures....the cheapest sites don't have any diamonds in stock- so they are dependant on pics from their vendors. THis can cause situations where duplicate pics are used- and not always disclosed.....
Buyer beware- again, in general

In general go with the higher clarity in an emerald cut.

I could not confirm that the photos on the IGI report documents were identical. I thought the inclusion pattern was different on the upper left. But one of the photos is blurry. I trust you know what you are doing by comparing pixels and do not have an answer for you.
