Decided to consider ERD's Emily w/modifications - thoughts?

As I mentioned in my earlier post I've been reluctant to purchase anything i haven't seen in person and was leaning more towards Gabriel setting I had seen in a local store.
After reading through threads some more I stumbled on ERD's Emily and wanted to make the following modifications
-Halo would be round
-Stop the diamonds on the shank at 5 and 7 o'clock
-Use the same size melee on the halo and the shank. I'm leaning towards 2 pointers, my stone is 2.22 RB

I briefly spoke to Chris and he suggested 1.4mm melee which I believe is a hair under 1.5 pointers.

What are your thoughts? Would you recommend ERD over Gabriel and Co?

Yes I would go with ERD and go with their recommendation for melee size.

DS just said it! I would definitely go with ERD. I think they do beautiful halos. And I agree 100% with the comment about the melee. If your melee is too large the ring's proportions look way off and the setting then just looks odd. Google halo setting rings and you will be able to tell the difference between those done well and those well not so much.

For your reference my diamond is 2.04ct so just s smidge smaller then yours. My halo is 1.5mm. I think it can go from timeless to tacky very quickly if had I gone larger. Just my .02cents.

What is the width of your shank? I'm trying to be around 2mm bc anything that's less that I've tried on has not looked good.
Your ring is beautiful - based on the width I gather the melee on yours is a bit smaller than 1.5 pointers?
What size finger do you have?

Ok I double checked and edited my inital post.

My width of the shank (NOT the halo) is 1.9mm.
Width of halo is 1.5mm
My finger size is a tight 6 (closer to 5.75)
