DBTY necklace: what diamonds (carat/colour/cut/clarity)?

I''m thinking of saving up for a DBTY necklace with brilliant cut diamonds in different sizes. What carat size (what range), colour, cut and clarity shall I look for?

Also does anyone know if the are any good on-line vendors of loose diamonds suitable for such necklace?

I *think* the ones I remember from the SMTR forum have been something like 7 or 10 pts. You should do a seach on
that forum for DBTY and see what their specs are. I believe I have seen DBTY from BGD and Whiteflash and they were
lovely.
