DBTY from IDJ in Rose Gold Question

I'm interested in a rose gold DBTY single stone necklace. Went to Tiffany's and fell in love, but that price was ouch for such a delicate piece. I contacted IDJ as they did my U prong ring last year. However they only have a 14Kt rose gold instead of 18kt like Tiffany's.

Anyone maybe own a rose gold piece from both places? I've read Tiffany's looks more yellow pink because it's 18 kt. That necklace looked really good on my skin tone so I'm worried 14kt will look too dark.

I personally prefer 14 over 18 because it looks more pink to me and goes better with my skin tone. 14K rose can have a broad range of tones because the alloy changes from jeweler to jeweler. I wonder if you can ask IDJ to photograph a sample on someone with similar skin tone to you.

I don’t own any rose gold Tiffany pieces but I have a14k rose gold necklace from IDJ and an 18k rose gold ring from August Vintage. The 18k is a bit lighter. Hope that helps!
