I didn't ask, I usually don't unless it's for a specific project. I like to take chances haha... I thought it was going to be a poopy purple brown rock too... but I was pleased as punch when I saw it.

It doesn't hold that great purple color though in my CFL lights. It's a beautiful peachy salmon.
