If true to representation, it''s a lovely reddish spessartite. However, in observing the vendor/received stone thread, Dan''s stones usually look darker than the picture, therefore, expect it to look one shade darker in person.

Dan said that he''s retooled his image settings recently, so if anyone picks up stones in the near future, we''ll all get to see if these are more representative. This spess picture looks darker than his previous spess shots, so it may well be accurate, we''ll only find out if someone buys it.

I''m on the edge of my seat waiting to see the sapphire - the color of the rough is beautiful - it looks slightly greyish/green/blue - it''s going to be magnificent I just know it.

He didn''t mention the price to me. Did you email him?? It really is a yummy stone. I don''t have that shape in my collection yet, but I have a spess already.

I am guessing that it is. It is a nice color and size. Mine wasn''t exactly cheep, and that one has much more ct weight to it. But I am sure it is beautiful in person.
