Charlie @ Good old Gold got my ring today & they popped it out of the setting & for your viewing pleasure (or should I say shock and awe) here is a pic of my nasty diamond injury.

OUCH!

YUK!

(insert more Batman sounds here)

This just hits me right in the solar plexus its so bad.

And the kicker is, I cannot recall when it happened!!!

First shot is in the ring....next post will have loose stone.

Diamond Loose:

OUCH!! Makes me wanna cry. On the bright side, GOG is coming through with a lovely replacement for me. Worth sending my precious 3000 miles away to be brought back to life.

Wow terrible that happened to your beautiful stone and in what looks like the kind of setting that would protect delicate edges and corners.

Can''t wait to see the new stone!

Sorry. So sorry. Can the stone be polished out a little, maybe for a pendant?

Yay for the replacement, can''t wait to see it, but I''m so sorry you''ve been through damage trauma.

I know! Hardcore bezel set and all.

It''s insane.

I can''t wait to see my new stone either. I keep stalking the GOG videos looking at princess cuts. Man, do they do a good job with them.

So glad Stone Cold pointed me to the stone going into my setting. Its really stunning. I''m going to be afraid to move my left hand! LOL.

WOW! That is a massive chip!

Glad to help with the new stone. :)

Oh, I''m so sorry! Looking at that makes me want to cringe

. And you had it in a bezzeled setting which I though
would have kept it safter. Hope you find a nice one to replace it with.

looks like Elin Nordegren took a swing at it

I''m so sorry you''ve been going through this! Though the replacement from GOG looks absolutely beautiful! I''m glad you''ll have your ring back better than ever very soon!

Ya, sounds like the only valid reason to me... :P

Propagated from the chipped corner.

Hey Diver! Long time no see :) How are you?

That''s a crazy diamond owie there - hope you love your stone as much or more than the last one :)

Stone: When I called GOG & talked to Charlie, he got really excited about the stone you found for me. Apparently, there was a deduction for polish that is damn near undetectable, and it doesn''t affect the performance, but it lowered the price. (into my budget) But he said I am going to be really happy with it. Its funny, after watching their diamond videos, you can tell when they are excited about something, so I''m just anxious to see it! It really is reassuring to do business with a trusted PS vendor after all the crap I''ve dealt with in the past.

Thanks.

Mrs Mitchell: The stone has to go back to the insurance company for salvage. And truly, after this, I don''t want it. KWIM?

LOL! I don''t think it was cheating on her though.....

Cehra! Hey, whats up woman? Did you ever get your stone set to your satisfaction? I understand the pain...What''s new? Are you still in Puddletown?

Oh no, what a substantial chip

Glad you''re able to find a new stone working with GOG!

I''m about to stick my ring in a safety deposit box for a couple years - I am in ''puddletown'' (haha so apropos) right now but since we last talked I have moved to Ireland and back and will be off to China in a couple weeks - what have you been up to? Besides whacking innocent victims with your ring?

Wow, that is sure a CHIP...not just a chip. I''m glad you''re getting a new one! I can''t wait to see your replacement! Will you be resetting it into the same setting or getting a new one?

YOWZA!!! That is truly tragic!

Kind of makes me wonder what the "other guy" looks like

Glad to see that GOG is on it for you... Best of luck!

Yes, I can understand that totally. Poor thing.

Can''t wait to see the new one though. Silver lining.

Diver, that''s awful! Can''t wait to see your new stone!

Wow I would not have thought it was possible in a bezel ring!??!!

crazy I know!

I just got off the phone with the Insurance adjuster, and she''s calling GOG right now after seeing their estimates to let them know that its all a go & she''s submitting payment & to tell them where to send the old stone.

So all I have to do now is wait for my new stone to be set in my setting (see my avatar) & shipped.

Soooo close....sooo close.

Hopefully Charles will send me a teaser pic once it''s set.

I am so excited. I hope to have it back on my hand by my anniversary... (12/16)

Just sayin''

I MISS my ring so bad!

I love my setting, its the best setting I''ve seen for a 1ct princess cut. For my hand anyway. I''ve been really happy with the design/style.

Todd: I am kind of feisty--but I haven''t been brawlin'' lately. I did grow up figure skating with Tonya Harding though...

:-)

That really was a chip!! Wow!!

So glad that your new stone is almost here - can''t wait to see it!

I''m really happy for you that things have worked out so well.
