I bought my fiancee a 1.7ct platinum E-ring a month ago, she loves it but found its too big for daily wear in office.

Im planning to get another Solitaire and set it in 14k rose gold, should i go for 0.75ct or 1ct diamond ??? She has a size 4.25 finger. Thanks.

Why dont you ask her? Has she tried on some .75 and some 1 carat stones? I think she needs to try some on and let you know what is
the smallest she thinks will be appropriate for work.

Here is a relative size difference between a 1 carat and a .75 on a 4.25 finger.

Im trying to give her another surprise on her upcoming birthday, for now im leaning towards 0.75ct

How about a nice eternity ring that she can wear instead of a solitaire?

Agreed on a nice eternity.

I'd go for 0.7-0.8 since it's just for office wear. No point paying the premium for the 1 carat mark if she's already got a larger diamond

If you already propose and it's not a surprise just have her go try one one. Why can't she pick the best size?

How about around .85 or so? Agree with Tophat, avoid the premium at the one carat mark. I think it's very nice of you to do this for your wife.

I think i will go for 0.80ct I color (AGS) and set it in 18k rose gold ring & platinum prongs.

We have an I color bezel pendant and it looks pretty white. If we get another I color and set it in 18k rose gold, do u think it will look more warmth than the pendant?
