Hello,

I want to get some opinion before buy a diamond below spec.

Color: D
Carat: 1.31
Clarity: VVS2
Cut/Polish/Symmetry: Excellent

Crown angle: 33.5
Pavilion: 40.8
Depth: 60.1%
Table: 59%
Crown height: 13.5%
Star length: 50

HCA: 1.2

Is 33.5% crown angle with 40.8 pavilion are too shallow?
59% table is too big?

I also attach ideal scope here.

I appreciated if you can give me some advise :)

Thanks a lot!!

The CA & PA to me are ok. That type of combination can work (might have a little less fire but be slightly more brilliant). What is more concerning is the low crown height of 13.5% coupled with a total depth of around 60%. The table is a little large %-ge wise for me, but I tend to gravitate towards super ideal proportions while other more experienced folks here have wider parameters. This one however on HCA appears to be smack bang in the middle of AGS 000 and GIA XXX proportions, which is a very good starting point.

Having said that... The stone you've posted about does look quite pretty. The IS image looks pretty good, though the lighter pink elements under the table in the centre of the stone either scream out to me light leakage or the backlight when the image was taken being too strong (and therefore, it's a good stone if it's the latter). The hearts image also looks quite distinct and relatively even across all eight hearts and the chevrons for a non-H&A stone.

What is your budget for stone? The rest of us might be able to do some searches on JA, WF, BGD, BN, B2C, etc to give you some other options to consider. I'll leave that for later as I'm utterly buggered from doing a midnight bottle feed for my new bub.
