I wanted to share this here because I think everyone should see how beautiful the lab diamonds are from @Rhino. There really isn't a better cut than his Distinctive Gem AVR. I wish there was more traffic in this forum because these diamonds really deserve to be seen.
Everyone who has searched for a well cut OEC, or AVR, knows that these stats are hard to come by. Visually under a Loupe, and to the eye, these are perfection. I do not have any "mind clean" issues with lab versus mined. At the end of the day it's a diamond, regardless of its origin, and finding one like this would be extremely difficult. These lab diamonds are more pricey than some I have seen, but they are worth every bit of the asking price.....and then some! There is no question that they are superior in cut and clarity than any I have previously seen.
On to the stats!
Center:
2.25 ctw E VS1 AVR. IGL grading.
It is absolutely STUNNING. The cut is beyond spectacular. I will take more photos and show the beautiful puffy crown in more lighting conditions. On the run today so only got a few. It is the "lotus" AVR cut versus the more bubbly AVR.
Sides:
The side stones are also Avrs and are 5.5mm F/G VS.
I am very lucky in that I could compare a mined AVR with these lab AVRs. The mined is a "daisy" AVR and the lab are "lotus" AVRs.
*There are no growth lines. Not a single one. Nor is there any blue nuance. I know that this is something discussed often in regards to lab diamonds. *
These are set into a CvB Sierra in 18K Yellow Gold. The setting is really beautiful and these diamonds could not have a better home.
More pictures to come!
Please excuse the pollen on the last couple photos. The plants were determined to share
