I''m confused, I understand that a cutlet is an extra facet in a diamond that creates a "window" but... is that a good thing or a bad thing? Diamonds only get and give their light from the top, so... what''s the deal?

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller...

It''s a personal preference.
I have a slightly large culet on my cushion and I love it.

I like mine medium well.

Actually...I'm not a gem-meister (I actually hope not...) but I think there's variation that both ranges in time & culture for preferences on this.

I'll even bet variances were bigger on this when the HCA was created...unless others here have a lot more use for that piece when calculating scores than I do...

I''m not trying to be a smartypants or anything, but it''s culet (pronounced que-let or the French sounding que-lay)... I''d hope someone would point it out to me.

Do you know about fancy shapes? I have a RB with one, but my e-ring is going to be a Jubilee (Cut corner square-ish shape). Thank you for answering me though!
