Ok, I've learned so much more about diamonds in the past few days than I ever thought I could. But all this new information is leaving me very confused.

See my favorite cut is the square radiant. But I am now very interested by the H&A cut!
(because of the brilliance)

What is more important clarity or cut? I mean is a IF ideal cut more important than a VS1 H&A?

Secondly, will I ever find a radiant that has the brilliance and fire of the H&A cut.

Hi Julie,

Cut still carries the greatest influence on the beauty
of a diamond. A good clarity is also helpful, but many folks are highly satisfied with Vs2 or Si1 stones
because it is extrememly difficult to see the inclusions
with the naked eye, and considerable savings are found in the lower clarities.

In other words, you do have some leeway in comprimising
clarity without affecting the beauty of the stone as long as you optimize the cut of the diamond.

Radiants are very beautiful diamonds also, but they too
are still a work in progress, in terms of cut.

Round brilliants, however, have been Super-idealized with
and now can max out in terms of light performance.

The choice is yours, but in either case still get your stones checked out by an independent appraiser to get
a professional opinion.

Forget radiants they are dogs in the cut brigade.

Try the new waves of dream, lucere, regent and well proportioned princess.

The best technique is to use an ideal-scope.

Even diamonds with eye visible inclusions can have no visible deteriation in performance compared to IF.

Thanks, but what is the difference with lucere, dream, regent? Where can I get more information.

See purity is very important to me so I have to find the middle ground between great cut but also great quality!

I'd be very greatful for any further help, thanks in advance:appl:

Jonathan (aka Rhino) from Good Old Gold gives a great explanation of the differences in this thread: https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/differences-between-radiant-flanders-regent-lucere-etc.3819/
