I''m finally shopping for my wedding band! And after snooping around pricescope since my engagement ring purchase, I refuse to settle for just a wedding band.
I spotted a trio engagement ring which I was thinking if it is alright to use the 2 parts (the 2 thin bands outside my engagement ring) as a wedding band ? I don''t know if this sound totally weird but originally I wanted an eternity band as a wedding band. Since I saw that engagement ring, I thought its a perfect fit.

Anyone knows what that ring is called ?
I have a picture (from pricescope of course) of someone''s gorgeous ring and it is similar.

I hope my description is easy to understand. Otherwise, I really appreciate ideas on how I can and where can customize my current ring to look somewhat like the picture !

Many many thanks !

I think you are thinking of a ring wrap or ring guard or sometimes even called a ring enhancer?

just my opinion but I am a fan of stand alone wedding bands - I know not everyone is and they don''t always look right with the e-rings - but really there are no rules and whatever you want is fine - just show your jeweler your pic - what is your e-ring like?

(your pic is confusing - it looks to me like it is one ring (diamond and halo) with another band UNDER the halo

Thank you so much ! I have been googling the whole night on trio rings! Is there any place where I can reset my diamond into a ring that would fit a ring guard ?

Now it sounds absolutely weird to use a ring guard as a wedding band ?

okay I get what you''re saying - not sure how a 3 part halo would look... would you want there to be a single raised diamond to either side of the e-ring as well?

I think a ring guard usually will fit any solitaire ring unless the ring is of very different proportion, so your present ring might just be fine. Go to your local jewelry store and take a look, they might carry some. I know some people use it as a wedding band.

im so sorry. I''m not too good with the diamond talk yet. What I am thinking is just having a 3 rings, 2 of the ring wraps with just many tiny diamonds on them acting as a wedding band.

Hey, that''s my set!

My e-ring is a halo and I had the wedding band soldered to it so the band wouldn''t spin (so that picture is just of 2 rings, not 3). I also plan to get a matching band to go on the other side at some point (then I will have 3 rings!).

I think what you are describing is a ring guard or a curved wedding band. I have seen ring guards that curve around so that it does "halo" a bit. Try doing a search on curved wedding bands and I''m sure several good pictures will pop up!

There are ring guards that are on both side of the ring, so you just pop the e-ring between them and wear them as a set.

Heyy,

Its gorgeous !! I was just a little confuse on how the two of them looks like apart actually. Currently mine is just a solitaire on a plain ring and I'm thinking of getting it refitted with diamonds . And maybe to save some buck I might do the 2 curve rings / ring wrap with gemstones instead.

it is terribly exciting but where I come from, we don't seem to be too big on the rocks and customizing is awfully rare and specialized here.

Aw, thank you!! So you are thinking of resetting your diamond? I found your photo of your ring and it''s gorgeous! I got my set from Jared''s and the setting and band were bought together. They have a Christmas promotion that was $200 off any diamond setting (or maybe it was just off wedding sets?). So it was very affordable for what I got!

But your e-ring is gorgeous and will go with any diamond band wonderfully!

The only thing to consider with a ring guard is whether or not you would ever want to wear your w-ring without your e-ring. I, for instance, often go without my e-ring. I don''t wear it when I''m doing anything messy, like baking or cleaning, or if I''m swimming or going anywhere outdoorsy, and I never take my e-ring if I''m traveling overseas so it doesn''t become a hassle if I lose it or have it get stolen. However, I always wear my w-ring. If you get a ring guard the curve may look unusual on its own, but a traditional band won''t.

Not necessary look weird, I kind of like that look but not my fiancee, so I won''t be getting that, but it is personal.

Also, there are a lot of designs for enhancers, ring wrap, some are just for the e-ring, clip around the e-ring instead of beside it and not be able to wear separately.

For example here.

Just for browsing not recommendation, I never bought from them.

heyy,

thanks so much for the replies. I just got my first quotation where they offered to reset the ring on a ring with tiny diamonds. Plus another 2 of the ring wraps with diamonds as well. They claim to be using quality diamonds which I dont really care for and the price comes up to 1700 dollars.

Does that sound expensive ?

Another question from yours truly.

I was just wondering if anyone ordered a ring setting off the internet before then brought the ring to a local craftman to reset their own diamond into the ring ?
