So it''s soon going to be time to pick out a wedding bank for my e-ring which has a half etermity micropave setting by Saturn Jewels. The head of my ring is such that a normal micropave eternity band will not sit flush with the ring. The ring made by Saturn that goes with my e-ring is a half eternity that is curved so that it flits flush. So I was thinking, should I have a ring custom made that is full eternity so that I could turn it around and wear it as a normal wedding band in case I don''t want to wear my e-ring? It''ll probably raise the cost by $800-1000. I''m thinking this is a good idea. What do you all think?

I think having another band when you don''t wear your wedding set is a great idea. I personally and a fan of full eternity just b/c I don''t like to see any metal when the rings spins. Do keep in mind it may not be able to be sized or only sized minimally.

I did exactly what you''re thinking of doing. I had my w-ring curved around my e-ring and got a full eternity, so I can wear the straight side out when I just want to wear my w-ring. It''s a good idea, but I did find that I just don''t wear the w-ring alone much. 99% of the time I wear both rings, but in concept it''s a great idea!

Does your wedding band have to sit flush? I like a little gap, personally. I''d probably just get a pave band to match the pave on your engagement ring. If you want a curved band, then I think the full eternity is a great idea.

Mrssalvo- I''m actually thinking of just having one band that can be worn two ways. I thought about having an additional band, but I''m not sure if I want to go that route.

coda- Do you have a pic of your set? I''d love to see it! I''m glad it worked out for you. I''m not sure how often I''d wear it to work. I often travel outside of the country for work by myself and there are times where I''ve left my engagement ring behind. Not that it''s an abnormally large stone, but in certain areas it does draw attention. So in those situations, or when I''m just hanging out, I think it would be nice to just wear the band.

thing2of2- It doesn''t have to sit completly flush, but I''ve tried on so many eternity bands, and they alway create a larger gap than I care for. Plus I eventally want to get a second band and stack them on either side of my e-ring- and for me I''d rather have them sitting flush.

oh, ok...now I see what you are saying. personally, I'd just get the ring that goes with your e-ring and then buy a plain band to wear when you are traveling. Curved bands just look silly by themselves (to me anyway), and i'm not sure how comfy it would be flipped around, plus, I'd worry about damaging the curved part when it was on the bottom.

Did you decide to go with the Saturn wedding band? I''m considering (okay, dead-set on) a Saturn ER and have wondered about the advantages/disadvantages of getting a matching set.

I love Saturns!!!!
