Ok, thanks to the assistance of Circe and Ellen... here goes...

This was the best CAD they did before we decided to start a wax carving... the CAD just wasn''t coming together how I wanted it to!

Yay! Ok, and then the wax...

They just finished the silver rings to make the mold... on Friday of last week. I told them to take their time with the setting of the stones... I want it perfect! (btw... I''m a San Diego transplant... moved back to TX from LaJolla)

It looks like you will have a very pretty set very soon! I cannot wait to see your finished rings!

I am going to try one more time to put this pic in bigger...

That is so neat to see how they go from computer to wax, to metal.. and eventually a pretty ring!

Beautiful set! Very nice!

One question (mind you, I have never had any custom jewelry made so I hope I don''t sound ignorant

) - what happens to the silver rings that are used to make the mold? Do you get to keep them? Get melted down? Jeweler keeps it? Thanks...

Such a neat process, cant wait to see the finished product.

Wow, it will look great!

It will be gorgeous! My friend has a three stone very similar to what yours will be and it is to die for!

I honestly hadn''t thought of it until you mentioned it!

Maybe they melt it down. Who knows! I''m going to ask now! :)

My primary inspiration is the Tiffany Lucida 3 stone. I was AT Tiffany & Co with my husband (then boyfriend) and it is the ring he had picked to propose with... but it woudn''t sit flush with any band, and I just couldn''t live with that! LOL!

So, really, aside from the fact that I had them make the 4 prongs go straight from the crown to to culet, with pretty much no undercarriage protruding away from the stone... it is pretty much a replica Tiffany.
