Custom ring process

Are there any good websites, or other resources, that can layout what to watch out for and what to ask for when designing and creating a ring? I have a design in mind and want to speak intelligently to the jeweler that I select to create it.

you can do a search on 'custom' and see what comes up. i'm sure many of the people who have gone custom will share their experiences here as well.

Thanks for the reply. I''ve been searching but haven''t come up with anything just yet. The design is very similar to a Scott Kay ring. Center stone with two "floating" sidestones in a channel set. I''m worried that I won''t ask the right questions of the jeweler.
