So it took me a few days to get around to doing my ring (it''s hard for either of us to drag our eyes away from her e-ring), but here it is!

It''s an utterly fascinating ring. It''s environmentally friendly using recycled sterling silver and then hand-collected Coyol seed. Coyol palms in Nicaragua drop seeds that are then processed into a sort of wood-appearing substance, which forms the inner band of my ring. It represents, in our case, the growth to come in our relationship and planting the seeds of our life together. I absolutely LOVE my e-ring.

Here''s the final product of our joint project designing a ring with Jewelsmith in Durham NC. It took a few revisions to really get the prongs the way she envisioned, but now we''re blown away by the results, and so so so happy to have our rings on our fingers (that''s right, engagement rings for both of us).

dncdnc, Jewelsmith is one of the best jewelers I''ve ever encountered. It is beautiful, congrats!!
