Custom or Equivalent Setting to this one

I've picked up a 1.61ct RB diamond that my g/f wants set in something like this: http://www.nataliek.com/engagement-rings/le-rose-collection/18k-rose-and-white-gold-pink-and-white-diamond-split-shank-diamond-engagement-ring

Does anyone know where I might be able to get this custom made or find an equivalent setting for much lower price (i.e., <$1,000)? I'd be looking at 14K rose gold, and she said she'd be happy for the pink diamonds to be replaced with pink sapphires since it is her birthstone.

It would be a custom order, but you aren't going to get that setting close to $1000 anywhere else.

Even with switching to pink sapphires and 14k I don't think it will be possible to have that ring made for under $1000, but you probably can save some off the list price. Much of the cost in that setting comes from the labour involved in setting those three bands of tiny melee stones- it involves a lot of time and expertise. I would actually be a little wary of a vendor that gave a sub $1000 quote on that style of setting, because I would wonder about the quality of the pave work.

I agree that David Klass would be a good one to query about a custom version of good quality at a reasonable price.

Obviously not from Tacori, and would be rose gold 14K like the other one. That should be more attainable in the $1,000-$1,200 range, right?

This knife edge with pave makes a very thin paved shank and has a sub halo...you can get it in rose gold...14k rose is more pink than 18k rose gold. Do the shank in 14k rose gold and the head in white gold.

Update: I received a quote tonight from David Klass. He is going to do solid 18k rose gold with natural I color, VS quality round brilliant diamonds and natural pink sapphires for $1450! I'm moving forward. Thanks for the recommendations!

Waiting to get the professional photos from David Klass which will probably have better lighting, but here is the finished product! What amazing work. They even used higher color (G) VS clarity diamonds for the side stones and higher overall carat weight. The inscription on the inside of the ring says "my heart is yours" in French
