Has anyone had a custom carpet runner made? And if so how were the ends binded.( I really hate fringe) I was thinking about using a carpet roll for custom sizes.

I need to replace my hallway runners and don't know if I want to do 1 - 7ft runner and then a 2x3 runner in front of the mudroom and 1 in front of the basement door or 1- 30 foot runner that would run the entire length of the hall. Would the 30 foot runner lay flat even with a rug pad underneath or would I have to worry about it bunching?

I think having separate rugs is a better idea. A longer runner may be more difficult to keep straight, it may get a permanent stain, and will most likely be more expensive than separate rugs. I think separate rugs are more interesting and would look better aesthetically. I love the way that coordinating rugs look near each other.
