cushion or radiant

I''m trying to decide between 2 cuts of diamonds - cushion vs radiant. My range is 1 ct to 1.25 ct with the lowest variables being an H color, VS2 clarity, Very Good cut and my budget is around $5000 to $5500. The setting is a platinum split shank with no halo and I cant decide between a cushion or a radiant. Which do you think would look bigger? And which do you think works better for a split shank? I definitely like the antique look but cushions dont seem to give as much sparkle as the radiants. Please help. Thank you so much.
