can I get with a stone budget of 4000? My only importants are. Eyeclean, face up white and not the crushed ice look as well as a more square look.

Anyone care to guess for me how large of a stone that budget might afford me?

Hi Laura!

Do you have a preference for colour and clarity? This can make a huge difference in price, so it would be good to know if you have a preference or cut off point.

What I would suggest, if you are ready to buy, is to contact Mark at www.engagementringsdirect.com, give him your budget and let him know the type of cushion you are looking for, and see what he can come up with!

Hello :) No I do not have a cut off point. i just would like it eye clean and face up white. I don''t mind alittle warmth from the sides. Just not from the top. I do not want to pay for things I cannot see so eye clean would be perfect.

I am not ready to buy just yet... So I do not feel right contacting someone to look for me if I am not going to buy just yet.

I am just weighing my options because I just can''t wait.....

Laura, I would check out the search tool at the top of the page, enter cusion in the shape box, then play around with different carat weights, colour and clarity, and that should give you a feel for pricing - maybe a G or H colour and SI clarity would give you the best bang for the buck with a well cut cushion. Also working with a vendor with in house diamonds will let you know immediately if a particular cushion is right for you - not crushed ice for example.

Oh that cushion posted above is beautiful! If I didn''t already have mine I would have considered that.

chrono, that does look beautiful....I would like bigger though....I have been busy playing around with cut search. A cushion is an interesting stone I think. Unlike a round. Where you can KINDA of know by stats what it will mostly look like...cushions can look good on paper...but not in person.

I will keep playing around and looking. I do think that the advice of finding someone with them in house is the most proficient way to go about weeding out the not so great...

thank you :)

Laura, I don''t know what your setting budget is, but I think Pearlmans has a couple of smaller cushion Daniel K rings in their closeout section. Not all the prices are up yet, but judging from the prices that are up, some of them are around half of retail. That means getting a designer ring for about the cost of a non-name stone and ring. Just thought you might want to check that out! (I love Good Old Gold''s loose cushions, though!)

I''m loving that first Daniel K you posted!

Does anyone know if they plan on posting all the prices eventually? I LUV LUV LUV the 2nd you posted diamondseeker

Laura, I just bought a .85 SI1 I color for 2435.00 cushette diamond from Jonathan from GOG. It has both the crushed ice look and the big sparkles that you were refering to. Here is a video of a cushette

Also, if you want a different comparsion go to http://www.goodoldgold.com/ and click on the link at the top of the page about the cushette diamond. My diamond is totally eye clean and Jonathan was great. I''m sure he can find you the perfect stone! I would go for the cushette if you love the shape of the cushion cut diamond but you want both sizes of sparkle and lots of it! I just love this diamond to death! Good luck in your search, PS helped me out so much!
