I was initially looking to get a 2-3 asscher cut. Unfortunately, the stone will not allow for that cut but he can cut in a range 2.2 – 2.8 square cushion. We are fine with the cut but I have no vision for color on that cut; I was curious if someone had a cushion sapphire in this color range. I need visual help!

JW said it would be similar to this color and his verbage reads:

I think it would look most like this:

(delicate blue with
lavender secondary), or possibly a bit lighter. Yes, it should be quite
brilliant.

Any input on the color with a square cushion cut would be greatly appreciated.

This board is super and has aided greatly in this process.

Jeff's description is in-line with what I see. It is very very light toned blue with a lavender modifier. Due to the light tone, the saturation is also not strong so it will show some gray.

There are dozens of square cushion designs out there. Which facet pattern did he suggest? If he is able to point out an existing stone, I am very sure a highly skilled PSer will be able to alter the colour for you.

He never mentioned what style of cut for the cushion, only that it would sparkle.

My concern with a cushion of this colour, while very sparkly, might seem lacking in the colour department if you are expecting a rich colour. First of all, what is the colour YOU want?

Since both stones are from Jeff White, the person who can best answer your question is Jeff himself.

Jeff was able to send a picture of a closely related stone color.

I did order and look forward to receiving.

Thanks for answering my questions and thanks to pricescope that I was able to find him!

And just where is this picture? :naughty:

Thanks for your help and Jeff was able to supply a photo that he believes the color will most likely be clsoe to.

I have a sqaure cushion cut on order with Jeff. Should come in at 2.5 ct and this color:

Now comes the wait!

Wrong link or you are confusing a round with a cushion.
Doesn't seem to be a confusion. OP was sharing a link about the proposed color of the soon to be sapphire.

Here is my little ball of sparkles by Jeff White! I adore the color and the picture reflects the color perfectly in-person also. A little bit of a violet hue indoors during a cold cruddy Wisconsin day.

Thanks PS for helping me find Jeff White.

WOW!!! I am completely jealous!! I have been looking for something exactly like this for a year and a half. Have asked several of the cutters, don't know why I didn't ask Jeff, lol. I looooove the cut, too! Cushions are one of my favourites. Really, really beautiful. Congrats, and I can't wait to see how you set it!

What a lovely sparkler! Thanks for sharing and definitely wasn't to see the end product :cheeky:

Thanks everyone. I love the color and cut.

It will be set into this setting but with a different head and at a kite orientation.

Very gorgeous! Jeff White's cuts always look stunning. I hope to get a stone from him some day.
