Hi all,
I've just seen what looks like a very attractive stone.
It's a 1.52ct F VS2 cushion cut, table is 65% and depth is 67.8% (roughly, I think). Faint floruesence. GIA cert. Size is 6.7mm x 6.15mm
In the flesh, it looked beautiful, but there was one thing slightly holding me back.
On paper, it has [only] Good and Good polish and symmetry.
A few really naive questions:
- How bad is this?
- Given that the table and ratio don't seem too anomalous (does that even relate to polish/sym?) is there any reason they only have G, G grades?
- Should this sort of grade result in a much lower price, compared a stone with the same specs but otherwise VG or EG in those criteria?
I think out of all the stones I've seen, this looks the most attractive and every other criteria ticks the box. Jsut a bit anxious about the G, G. Any thoughts/advice welcome!
