I have recently started an engagement ring search. I have done some research online and have gone to a few retailers. I am looking for a cushion cut diamond between 1.5 and 2 carats with the best color and clarity I can get for my budget of $10-$15K. It seems if I want F or better color and VS1 or better clarity I will only be able to get it online. I'm a little nervous about buying online, especially since I cannot see the diamonds. Can anyone suggest which online sites are best? I have been on blue nile, james allen and since1910. Are these sites legit? Should I stay away from any of these sites? Are there any other sites that might be better? Also, would you recommend lowering my color and clarity range? Should I be concerned about depth & table?

All the sites you mentioned are legit. For cushions, I prefer Engagement Rings Direct, Good Old Gold, Art of Platinum, Old World Diamonds, and James Allen (purely because of their advanced website).

Nothing wrong with F VS1 - my favourite combo. You are perfectly safe with G VS2 and some say eye clean SI1 as well.
