Cushion cut experts, I need your help

Hi everyone,

I'm looking into buying this particular diamond, and I really wanted your opinion before I truly commit (they have it on hold).

What I wanted to know is whether this diamond will have that nice brilliance or not. Color wise it's excellent (E), and I don't think you'll be able to see that inclusion in the middle (not without magnifying it, of course). But since I don't really understand how depth and table affect the brilliance, I wanted the forum's opinion.

Have you confirmed with JA that it is eye clean? Has JA provided you with the ASET for this cushion? It is more than just the table and depth that makes a stone well cut or not. If you haven't requested the ASET, I would do so now, after confirming that it is eye clean first.

my only beef would be to make sure it's 100% eye clean. I don't like inclusions on the table, but maybe at that size it wouldn't be as noticeable, I would still make sure. Did you ask for an aset?

I would pick a couple of other ones and get ASETS for all 3 of them and have them tell you which 1 perform best

They had a nice h and I of that classic modern cushion (the cut they have a ton of at .5 ct or so) maybe pig one of those, one more. And have them compare to make sure you get a nice one.

I'm going to ask about the ASET. I had to google what ASET meant (sorry, I'm new to this).

As for eye clean: JA assured me that the diamond is in fact eye clean. Because of its size (0.47) you will not be able to see that inclusion unless you magnifiy it... and frankly, I trust this judgement.

But ASET aside, judging by that virtual loop image, what is the forum's opinion?
