HI there,

I've narrowed my choice of centres stone to 2 options, would love any advice and feedback:

OPTION 1
Cushion Brilliant 0.90ct F SI1 GIA 2216387936 AUD$6441 inc.GST

Specs- 6.21 x 5.89 x 3.63 mm

OPTION 2
Cushion Brilliant 0.83ct E VS1 GIA 1203718478 AUD$5280 inc.GST

Specs- 5.79 x 5.59 x 3.71 mm

NOTES
The top option looks like the better option to me, the faceting means the visible size is significantly more.
Option has medium fluorescence which I believe is why it is cheaper
Option 1 is stretching the budget, but I think my fiancé would be happier with the size, just trying to work out if it is worth if for the upgrade?

Any help would be massively appreciated in this very confusing time!

Thanks,

Jared

I actually prefer option 2. Yes the higher crown leads to a smaller face up size but it looks like a better performing diamond to me.

Can you get an ASET?

I think the performance may be close enough that it may warrant buying the larger of the two stones in this case. There is a LARGE size difference here.

I dont think I can get ASET, if it is just GIA certified does that mean i cant? Or shoukd i be asking my dealer for one? Do you think it would be a significant difference in size to the visable eye?

ASET is a scope. You can buy one for 50 bucks. Either your vendor has invested in one or not. Getting a photo set up to take ASET photos costs more, of course. And then there is the time involved in photographing their stones. Enchanted Diamonds which has similar videos to yours does have the technology.

Yes, as a solitaire it will be a visible difference. In a halo, it might not be worth it.

Great thanks Gypsy, ill ask if they can get them in for me. Im planning on outting this on a 3 stone ring with 2 matching pears with total weight of 0.3-0.4. Will this make it any less noticible? Thanks

Well. Yes and no.

Can you afford to buy both and send back the one that doesn't catch your heart?

Also, cushion withpears is one of my favorites. Nice choice. BGD does a great setting for that. Just as an FYI.
