Curiosity about HPD and CBI... help please!

As a long-time lurker I have read all of the incredible raves about Crafted by Infinity diamonds and teh accolades about Wink. However, after checking the High Performance Diamonds web site I am a bit confused. Do all of the diamonds sold by HPD qualify as CBI stones or only certain ones? Is it something I would need to specifically request? Obviously I would evaluate the specs of a CBI stone regardless, and the ASET, etc. would be informative, but I just wanted to know if all of the diamonds they sell are CBI. And as long as folks are chiming in, please feel free to weigh in on CBI diamonds as I have never owned one but am definitely considering one!! Many thanks in advance!!

I'm just chiming in to thank you for asking that question! The website used to identify some stones as CBI's but it no longer seems to do so.

Wink said on another thread recently that he only sells CBI diamonds now. They are cut to such tight parameters that I wouldn't even worry about the ASETs, but I am sure they are posted. I think CBI diamonds are right up there in the top tier of H&A diamonds along with Whiteflash ACA, GOG Ascendancy, and Victor Canera H&A.

I spoke with Wink some months ago and I believe he said all the diamonds posted on his site (MRB) are CBI stones. I know he can get non-CBI stones, but I think the ones listed are CBI. He is suuuuper nice and personable, so I would just pick up the phone and call him. Seriously, he could not be nicer.

There are many CBI diamonds on the HPD website to choose from but if you cannot find one that meets your criteria, then
you can have Paul Slegers cut one to order for you. That's what I did and I could not be happier. Paul, Wink, John, and Lieve are all great people.

I still struggle to believe your stone is an SI1!

I would love to see a CBI in that size - the other half's is small by PS standards but still gives an amazing light show close-up or across the room, it is distracting lol How do you get any work done while wearing it? I just want to sit and play with it in all different types of lights!

I currently have a RB from BGD and I absolutely love it, but I am fascinated to check out CBI at some point and have heard only the most glowing remarks about Wink!
