Cufflinks to clip on earrings conversion

Hi all, I have a bunch of men cufflinks that I'd like to change into earrings. They are heavy, so I'm thinking that clip on would work best. Is this a difficult and expensive conversion? Did anyone convert any in the past and can advise? Tia!

Lovely idea! I converted two old watch links to earrings but not clips. It cost me about $350 including the gold.

You can see how Lang does it -- search their site. Half the earrings recently are cufflink conversions (and although they are pretty, you can kind of spot them a mile away). Most look like coin-shaped dangles with a jump-ring to a shepherd's crook.

It breaks my heart a little to see all those cufflinks taken apart. I've always wanted a fancy old pair of cufflinks -- like with cabochon sapphires. But I don't own a single French cuff shirt so there is that...and I haven't had a shirt properly starched in way over a decade since no-iron (i.e., generally wrinkly) omnipresence.
