Is crown % something I ask the jeweler who something that can be calculated?

Sorry if I sound dumb, just want to know as much as possible.

Some certs have this, some (GIA) do not. If the second is your case, ask the jeweler to obtain these measurements for you. If you are using the tables by Gemappraisers, ask for all the detailes. There are more detailed reports possible (see Goodoldgold.com) and your jeweler may be able to provide more precise cut quality tests, if this is what you are looking for.
