What should the width be on a 1.54 ct stone to have a good pavilion and crown angle. Thanks. The depth and table are right at the ideal range. Thanks.

a ''good'' crown/pavilion angle depends on the depth/table

The Depth is 62.5% and the Table is 56%. Thanks.

look at the chart pricescope posted under 56% table.

62.5% depth for a round brilliant is not ideal in my book.

Live long,

Actually you can have what might be considered ideal depth and table and still have not so ideal crown/pavilion angle combos. Get a Sarin/OGI/Helium scan and find out the angles for sure.

Hodie,
The girdle thickness will also impact diameter. Given a 56% table which is nice;

A super ideal 1.54ct should be approaching 7.5mm

A 1.54ct with a 62.5% depth (a little deep if I only need to buy one stone) would be about 7.35mm, but again, this will vary by the girdle thickness.

Even stones with the same carat weight, depth, table, and even similar angles, a thicker girdle will result in smaller dimensions (including diameter). However, a girdle that is "extremely thin" or even "very thin" may provide a better spread, but be a durability risk.

Sincerely,
David
