I''ve found a stone that I''m happy with. I''m waiting to find out the crown and pavillion angles. Could tell me what would be good and what I should aviod for both of those measurements? I would appreciate any help. Thanks in advance.

What''s the shape of the stone?

ahhh..forgot that!! Round. Thanks.

what is the table %

John,

Not an expert here, but there isn''t one correct answer to your question. The table and depth will affect what would make the "best" numbers for the crown and pavillion angles. You''ll need to post all the meaurements of a stone for anyone to offer any meaningful advice.

Good luck.........

When you get the numbers, plug them all into the Cut Advisor under the Tool menu above. This is the HCA tool. You want the score to fall between 1 and 2. If it does you should be great!

John, I think I gave you the ideal numbers yesterday. But with a premium cut stone, as the others said, just plug the numbers in to the HCA and see what you get. It probably won''t be between 0-2, but as I told you on the other thread, you need to compare the stone with your eyes next to an ideal cut to be able to decide.
