I’m ok, all they could find was vertigo after almost 12 hours there and the pills help.
Last night I got extremely dizzy and fell twice, being my usual grumpy self said this will pass.
Well of course my greater half was having none of that so I called my doctor’s office.
The advice was not in so many words but meant don’t be an idiot and go to the ER.
One ambulance ride later because I was still dizzy, it takes longer to get unloaded from the ambulance than the ride there.
People waiting all over the place sitting in chairs in the hall.
They said they had another 45 people waiting in the waiting room.
Here are some of the stories with no identifying info.
One lady had a miscarriage on Friday and was having bleeding and her doctor told her to go to the ER right away she may need emergency surgery and came in at 1pm by 8pm all they had done is blood tests. She is upset her husband is upset, they did get a little loud but in my opinion it was warranted.
Dragon lady comes out of her closed office and rather than having any compassion for a scared couple throws them out of the in back waiting area. They leave the hospital.
Guy cuts 3 fingers off on a table saw, they bandage and determine they cannot be reattached.
After 4 hours of waiting he went drove home with no further treatment than wrapping it.
Yes he drove himself to the ER with his severed fingers and walked in.
His wife freaks out when she gets home and makes him take an ambulance back to the ER.
5 hours later they finally take him back for further wound care.
4 People came in with gsw 2 doa and 1 rushed to surgery and one bandaged up and left with the cops in cuffs.
Another lady was there for 8 hours and had testing done and all she needed was her results and a note for work. She got her results on my chart. All ok.
She asked how long it was going to be and they told her they were just waiting for a room so the doctor can talk to her and release her and that could be hours yet.
She asked for the doctor to come over and tell her right there, she did not care if others heard.
Of course they tell her they cannot do that, she left.
Almost everyone was getting their test results hours before seeing anyone on “my chart”.
I had my blood work, head ct and xray results for hours.
That was my crazy night at the ER.
