Very unhappy with my pcp. Told him about earache which is worse, he looked in it and said it looks fine and dismissed it.
More meclizine pills and an ent referral, have to call tomorrow to see when I can get into the ent.

I absolutely hate when MDs say this. Technically, you can see to the tympanic membrane (TM) when otoscopy is done, and if the TM is translucent, you may see the outline of the first two bones of the middle ear. There is sooooo much that isn't seen.

So, now that your symptoms have "progressed" and you can't be seen by a specialist until July, I would also suggest trying to find a Neurotologist, who specializes in all things hearing and balance.

@DAF Thank you so much for the advise and help.
Yes to tinnitus, have had it for a long time and it doesn't seem worse now.

I am not seeing Neurotologist listed in the medical group directory I use or on my insurance companies provider search. Is there another term they might be under?

First week in July is the soonest I could get an appointment but am on the list if they have a cancellation.
Scheduled for a hearing test then with the ENT right after.

At least you have a foot in the door
and hopefully your symptoms will be a lot less horrible by then

We have never really hit it off and he is to dismissive and abrupt.

Agree; this part is not OK and you should find a new PCP once your system permits (there has been a mass exodus in the wake of COVID).

So sorry you are going through this. Be sure to mention the "pressure" sensation since this can be helpful.

EDIT: threw most of this away, on second thought

This is one of those things where you'll probably have to call the offices and ask. Most are listed as Neurologists.

Sorry to hear that.
Im shocked to find out how many people have vertigo.

I hope yours resolves. A lot of good advice posted here. Once thing I'm not sure was mentioned was look at drug interactions and side effects. I've known several folks have it occur due to medications.

Mine was determined to be a development "quirk" deep in my brain, so nothing to be done about it. Its mostly fine and I respond to the meclizine, so I put that in the win column.

Our Healthcare system is so annoying. Have you had your ears flushed? Your PCP could do that and it might help. If you don't like your PCP, I'd find another, and get a 2nd opinion. Always a good idea to get a hearing test.

I used some wax removal drops tonight it got a bit out but still feels pressurey.
Looked into changing pcp its not to bad but I have the outstanding referral to the ENT and some stuff on one of my meds that would have to be redone.

Sending you healing wishes, Karl.

I also suffer from vertigo and tinnitus, amongst other things. Mine went into relative remission for 3 years to be re-awakened, with a vengeance, by the pfizer vaccine (one month post second jab). I have an autoimmune condition and some other "stuff", which made me vulnerable.

Is yours related to the vaccine by any chance? I'd also ask your PCP about any underlying health issues.
