Hi Guys!

I've recently been looking with vendors for diamonds but i'm being quoted for less than ideal stones.

Would someone be kind enough to help me find a beautiful diamond on either James Allen or Blue Nile?

My specifications are:

Round / 0.60+ Carat / G+ color / VS1+ / Excellent Cut if possible from what I'm hearing
My budget is around 3000$ Canadian (after 15% tax (Quebec is rough))

Things I've found so far but am not sure of:

Thank you guys so much!

I think the third one has the best specs.

The first one has a 62.5 depth, which is a bit more than what PS community usually would prefer (under 62).

The second one has a 41.4PA. I have heard that if you want a nice diamond you would like a diamond that have <41 PA.

Also, is there a reason why you need VVS clarity? If I were you, I would rather pick a VS2 one and increase the size. VS2 basically means eye clean.

I've narrowed down about 6 diamonds online but I'm unsure about how to proceed.
I see many people saying to look at the IS images but I don't know how to get my hands on those.

If I post the diamonds, could you offer any advice?

I expanded my search to include VS2. There is nothing I love above 0.60c around 2k.
This one is lovely.

This one looks great from BN

I would at least include VS1, which is super clean.

This one is good

Most PS vendors will provide the IS images if they have the stone on hand. If the stone is with their oversea supplier, the supplier sometimes provides the images. If not, you will need to buy the stone first to ship it to the vendor. Once get it in hand, the vendor will provide take and provide the images to you, before proceeding to mounting, at which you can still cancel the order for a full refund with no obligation.
One exception is bluenile. They don't provide at all.

If you post the six stones, we can take a look. Make sure you check this thread frequently after you post your selections.
If we like any, we will ask you to contact the vendor to put the stone(s) on hold and request the IS images.

Honestly, I really like the last one and enjoy the blue hue it may give off in UV light.

From this point, what are the documents I should ask James Allen for and how do I ask them?

Again, I can't tell you how appreciative I am about all this. It's a big purchase and I want to make sure everything goes perfect.

I think you can put three stones on hold and request the IS images.

Contact JA via online chat and ask them to put the F VS2 and other twos you are considering on hold. And request the IS images. You may not get all three. Also ask the gemologist to review the stone to check for any negative effect from strong fluo such as haziness and oiliness.

If they provide you the IS, you will just have to wait for the result.
If they don't, you will need to buy it first.**

**If you have a US$ card, you can order and cancel with no damage.
However, with a Canadian credit card, you will lose a minimum 5% because you are essentially buying and selling US$.

I'd drop to H or I color and VS2/eye clean SI and get a larger stone. The very highest I'd go is H... even I will be very white at that size.

Perfect, I just contacted them and they told me I had to buy the diamond before receiving the IS images. I'm going to try and call them to verify this and hopefully receive the pictures before buying anything.

I would also look at enchanted diamonds. They have great stock, good prices and often have asets for their diamonds.

I'd like to thank you for all the advice you gave me.
After receiving the IS pictures from JA, the gemologist suggest I buy the cheaper one as the quality is the same.

I like this one. The numbers are good. G VS1 with faint fluo is white, clean and very safe.

Can you post the IS image for us to double check?

Very good IS. As long as it is not hazy from stronh fluo, go for it.
Beautiful stone. It will trump anything you find locally.

Hand shots when you get it!!

Please:whistle:
