Could this be part of a diamond earring?

I was going through my childhood jewellery box f the mid 70’s and have found what looks like to be part of a diamond earring.
Could It have 2 diamonds? They are very small but could be added to a bracelet?

That is the bail from a pendant. The chain would run through the big opening, and the pendant is missing. You are showing it upside down.
It looks like it is sterling, because of the tarnish.
There no prongs holding the stones in, so I think they are glass.
Put a sterling charm on it and it will make a nice necklace!
