I saw a brown diamond ( don''t remember when or where ) for $100,000!

Pear shape
about 3.5 ct (I think) if I remember correctly
IF
don''t know color rating, but it was fancy dark brown.

could it really be worth that much?

No way!!!! IF clarity is *extremely* rare in brown colors, but I don't think a stone like that could cost something even close to 100'000... If it were dark brownish pink, maybe, but if it's just simple, plain brown without modifying hues, NO!

Also, it wasn't a store, I think it was show or something, but it wasn't at a store.

So for curiosity sake,

if it truly was an IF 3.5ct

how much could it be worth?

It really depends on the color and the modifying hue...

Maybe if you bought it at the mall.

I agree with Rich, that sounds very fishy.
