I am looking at this particular stone from Brian Gavin Diamonds and was wondering what everyone thought about this diamond.

I am not too familiar with the Holloway Cut Advisor and when I plugged in the numbers it said girdle too thick?? I am looking for a larger stone without going bankcrupt, but do not intend to spend $10,000 plus on something that is not worthwhile. All opinions will be greatly appreciated.

numbers are fine. you must have plugged them into hca incorrectly.

No, Brian has not seen it yet. I would definately like his opinion. Does the size and color, clarity seem right for the price? Does Brian check out all these stones and how critical is he?

He will check it prior to even offering it for sale. He is very critical and an expert in the field of diamond optics, so personally, I would trust his opinion 100%.

The price seems very good, it is $5k less than the J SI1 2ct diamonds they have on their website. My main concern would be if the diamond is eye clean or not, but if it is and you are fine with J color, then it is a tremendous value.

I will admit that when you posted it I went to see if they had new stock and it was available in their signature line

It is in my upgrade budget and I might have poached it

But I want an upgradable diamond, so you are safe
