Hello everyone!

I've previously settled on this 1.35ct VVS2 for an e-ring:
https://www.jamesallen.com/loose-di...t-d-color-vvs2-clarity-ideal-cut-sku-10590071

D, VVS2
HCA: 1.2
Carat: 1.35
Depth: 61.4
Table: 57
Crown: 34.6
Pavillion: 40.8
Measurements: 7.09x7.11x4.36

Since the stone has not shipped yet, I decided to look around and stumbled upon this other beauty for basically the same price, so I put it on hold:

D, VS2
HCA: 0.9
Carat: 1.53
Depth: 60.9
Table: 57
Crown: 34.2
Pavillion: 40.8
Measurements: 7.42x7.45x4.53

To me, clarity doesn't matter that much as long as it's eye-clean. The bigger stone is tempting because it crosses the 1.5 threshold but I thought the 1.35 has slightly better proportions (it's closer to "34.5/40.8") which means better light performance (I think?). Light performance is the most important thing to me.

So here I am, once again, asking for help form this community. Which one would you pick and why? Thank you!!

Both have safe proportions so dont worry about that. I would go based on looks and your own eye (plus considerations about size). I personally like the look of the 1.5 better (the arrows look more even to me).

Go big

The bigger one for sure. The proportions are good.

No brainer, bigger one for sure. The proportions are almost identical, but the visual impact of a bigger diameter.....priceless!
