Costco 5 stone diamond ring- worth it?

Hi!
I don't know what I'm doing but hoping somebody can tell me if this ring is worth the money or recommend something else. I would love 2ctw 5 stone diamond band and $5k is a good price when compared to BN but my knowledge ends there.

ID Jewelry has an almost identical 5 stone band (2 ctw) in platinum for about $4350. And they will size it for you. The costco diamonds are I VS2 while the IDJ diamonds are F-G SI1. Costco doesn't state the cut quality of the diamonds whereas you can request that IDJ use ideal cut diamonds. A lot of PSers have amazing diamond wedding bands from IDJ.

One advantage Costco has is, if you don't size it or alter it in anyway, you can return it... pretty much forever.

What size ring are you getting? .40 stones in a 5-stone might actually be a bit large for smaller sized fingers.

While it's true you won't know the cut quality of the stones in the Costco ring, I tried it on and it was gorgeous! Then again, it could have been the costco lights. I'm a size six (so it was one size too big) and wondered the same about the price. I don't know your ring size but it did not overpower my size six ring finger. Definitely a stand alone ring though--not for stacking!
