Hey i was hoping that you great shoppers out there could help me out! i am looking for a corset to go underneath my gown. I am a DDD so it would need to have boning in it. Also light weighted.. I dont want a lot of thickness to it, some but not skyscrapers wide. I want it to look nice too, not cheapo. I dont know if they make them as minimizers but that would be great to find one that does that. I would also prefer lace up the back so it can be pulled as tight as i want it to be. I find a lot of corsets but most of them do not get as tight as i want it to be or they are tight but not structured so it doesnt flatten my stomach. I cant have my dress altered or really try it on again until i find what i will wear under my dress! I have looked online but a lot of them look cheap and do not have what i need! Any Help???

Depending on what your budget is, check out www.romantasyweb.com

They do custom corsets that are phenomenal--don''t be scared away by the extreme waist-training corsets

Ann, the owner, is also great to work with and very helpful.

Good luck!

wow. that stuff is crazy! lol...im scared! Not exactly the extremeness i was going for. too much to coose from and look at! It seems like a lot of work to pick what i need or maybe im missing something. I just wanna have some choices of ones and be able to choose one...and i want one that covers the chest and torso. Any other places? Price range is like 150ish. it doesnt have to lace up as long as it gets tight when i put it on but i would prefer it to tie up. I cant believe that woman used to torture themselves in those crazy corsets!

Hi Sparkly, I''m also looking at corsets and found this great website www.deliciouscorsets.com. I''m pretty sure they have non-extreme styles with the lace up feature and they also make custom corsets. I don''t know if all the styles fit within your price range but you should check them out.

I live in Seattle and here we have a couple custom corset shops in the city. You might want to search online to see if there are any specialty shops in your area that can do this. I would also check out high end lingerie stores, they might have the style you need or know of some other place that can help you (even if they are far away you can at least call and talk to someone.)

Good luck on your quest!

LOL! I totally know what you mean! I was a little frightened when I looked a the website too. But after talking with the owner, I found out that they can do whatever kind of corset you want (from the simple, lace up back for under your dress to the crazy ones on the site).

I would also check out etsy. There are a few people on there that will make you a custom corset. Check out Emily Rohm--I think you can have a custom one made for $175. She does really great work.
