Okaaaaaay- so last weekend we got married, and I am just starting to see some of the pictures.
I just saw one of how my corset back was tied- and I''m totally upset!
It was my hairdresser who tied it up, because she does millions of bridal shows etc, well now that I''m looking at the pictures- when she tied it she only tied every SECOND hook..why? I DON''T KNOW! Why wouldn''t you tie EVERY SINGLE ONE! I hate how it looks, and I''ve NEVER seen it done that way before.
Its funny because the extra string was SOOO long, so its not as though it wasn''t fitting or anything.
aaaaaah.
I''m probably just tired and over emotional

I''ll attach a picture...

Oh man, I would be upset as well! I have never seen a corset back tied like that.

If she is doing every Brides that she ties like that, someone should tell her. As I bet their are more brides upset after they saw their photos.

If she was just being lazy at your expense that is a shame.

Maybe other people will chime in that have seen it done this way. I just haven't

That being said. I still think the shot is very beautiful....

I am so so sorry this happened to you.

I just finished talking to my photographer (to see what she thought) she said that she has seen this often, even at times tied at every THIRD hook (I''d flip) I guess, with all the extra string that was there, I just don''t understand why it wasn''t done at every hook.
I know the dress was still beautiful from the front, but I feel it looks kind of sausage-y

I''m trying to stay calm, and remember how great the day was and how beautiful I felt, but MAN!

Every third hook? what? What would be the point? Yours still looks very nice at every other. However, every hook certainly gives it a more finished and smooth look than every other or every third would in my opinion.

Interesting, I can''t wait to hear from other brides to see what others have seen or experienced as far as this goes. My thinking is, they are there, why wouldn''t you lace them all?

EXACTLY!!!!!
I mean, the spacing doesn''t SUPER bother me (kind of, but I can deal) I just don''t understand the logic of NOT using them, and I think it would have finished off the dress better.
I''m just kind of upset, I''m happy with the rest of the pics- and will likely just omit all the back pictures sadly (since I loved the idea of a corset back)
I will check back in a few days to see what others have to say... *sigh*

I''m so tired and exhausted from the holidays and the wedding and traveling that I''m hoping I won''t feel so overemotional on this whole thing.

Thanks for your opinion though! :)

You are very welcome....get some rest. Rest does wonders for many things.

Happy Holidays and congrats on your wedding! I hope we get to see more pics when you have them to share!

Sorry you are disappointed with your dress. To be honest, it looks a little wierd, but I doubt I would have noticed it if I hadn''t been looking for it. I am sure no-one would have noticed at at the wedding.

How annoying though for your pics, it would drive me mad.

Maybe she thought the criss-cross pattern would look better every second loup? Hopefully she just hasn''t been lazy, that would make me frurious. Either way, she should have told you what she was doing, you shouldn''t have to tell someone to make sure they louped each one up?

I''ve only seen them tied that way when you''re trying them on at the salon (to save time lacing you in I would guess). It would bug me too! I mean, if you''re not supposed to use all the loops, then why are they there in the first place?

I totally understand why you''re upset. I''m so sorry that she didn''t lace you up the way you would have liked. That must be so frustrating. But on the other hand, your dress still looks so beautiful the way it was done. In a way, it''s kind of more romantic and eye-catching. You look slender and pretty in it.

hahaha thanks Bliss- actually thank you all for your replies!
Its funny you say I look slender in it- because when I saw the pictures I think my exact words were "OMG I''M A SAUSAGE!!" haha, but I''ve sinced calmed down quite a bit.
I still hate it, BUT its done and theres nothing that can be done about it- we had an amazing photographer so at least that makes the situation a little better! :)

and You are right WHY ARE THEY THERE! hahaha, to tie up of course *sigh* luckily the dress looked amazing from the front, and what done is done so the rest of the day was pretty glitch free and if this is the worst, then thats not so bad!

Maybe she thought it would be more comfortable for you lacing it up that way? Corsets are extremely restricting, so maybe she was trying to give you some ''breathing'' room.

I''d love to see pics from the front. I bet you can''t even tell. Sorry you''re upset.

I understand your frustration. On my wedding day my dad was the one to "fluff out" the back of my dress before we walked down the aisle, and he did not do it right... It was not spread out completely and you didn''t really get the full effect of the train. Also, I had a beautiful bustle design, but there were no good pictures of it bustled, and i''ll probably never put that dress on again! I was pretty bummed about it, but what can you do? Just focus on the rest of the pictures that you look FABULOUS in! Put up a few that are your favorite, and try to forget about the lacing issue...

I think this is the key - its already done. I''d be mad as well, and I agree that it would have looked much better laced properly (because I''ve NEVER heard of not lacing every single one - how bizaare!!

), but I think this is the best attitude for your own mental health - just trying to let it go and move on.

So sorry that this happened to you!

BTW, though, for what its worth, I agree with others who said you look slender - no sausages that I can see

Thanks everyone :)
All your comments are much much appreciated :) I guess the fact that no one here seems to GET it haha... lol, it makes me feel like I am crazy!! haha (people who say oh its not a big deal and minimalize it! gah!)
BUT I do agree that from the front, you can not tell!
It was a pretty dress..let me see if I can find a picture from the front :) (AND this is a JOKE picture because I had been saying keep the wine AWAY from me before the wedding to make sure I didn''t become TOO emotional before the ceremony..hahaha)
