You should post this in the lab grown sub forum on PS. Lots of lab grown knowledge to be had there. Do you have a video of the diamond?

The black is a reaction to obstruction.
There is a lot of it...What matters more is what distance it changes to not showing obstruction in normal viewing and how much.
