Hi all,
In a few weeks, I will fly to NYC.
I have an eye clean 2.56ct J-SI1 faint fluo I'd like to sell on consignment.
It's an HRD triple EX, proportions also fall in the GIA EX category (tested with Facetware) if the polish/symmetry obtain at least GIA VG. Due to the slightly steep/deep combo, it is not an H&A but optical symmetry is very nice. I also would like the seller to make a new GIA certification, because HRD doesn't sell well in the US.

Here is my question:
Should I go JamesAllen or GoodOldGold?
2 factors seem important to me:
1) the percentage they take
2) the possibility I have to lower the price because I don't want to wait for years before this item sells.

Any advices?
Thank you very much!

I've just sent an e-mail to both of them, I think it's the best way to figure out.

I didnt even know that JA consigned stones...that's a new one for me. Let us know what they charge
when you find out. Have you consider the pre-loved forum/loupe troop/diamond bistro? Since you
are out of the US I would probably use an appraiser to facilitate the sells.

Edit...just realized that you may not be out of US.

Grace at Love Affair Diamonds has a lower commission than somewhere like GOG but having said that if you are upgrading or wanting to swap diamonds the other two are probably better options.

Stephan,

I have just seen this thread. Do you mind to contact me via one of my LT listing and give me an idea what would you expect to get for this stone. I might possibly be interested.
I am located in Europe, HRD cert does not scare me :)

Thank you
