Oh my gosh. That is so pretty. I really love it! Yet my first thought, as a New Yorker, is that you videotaped all the bling on a Manhattan street?! Lol
Enjoy it! It's a keeper!!

I am seriously in love with your OEC. It is gorgeous and I am so happy for you. I am glad you had the same great experience with Alex that I had. Even though my purchase with him was not as substantial as yours I found him to be very attentive and nice.

Please tell us your thoughts on how you might set this beauty.

Jeweler's Row (47th Street) is probably one of the safest streets in the country. There are both uniformed and plainclothes police and private security. The jeweler's biggest concern: Stay away from the subway grates. Thank you for the compliment, she's mesmerizing.

Hi, Lisa:
Believe it or not, she is staying in this setting. I don't even know I have it on, which is a big change from my old ER, which is also in the videos. My take on it is that she is soooooo big that she doesn't need anything else to draw attention to her. Once the weather gets cooler and my fingers stop retaining water from the heat, she'll look even bigger. DF and I were in a diner this morning and the first thing the waitress did when she came over to our table was to look down at my hand before she asked if we knew what we wanted. He didn't see that, but I told him and he looked at the ring and said "That's friggin' huge!". More later, a little short on time right now.

OMG! I just looked closely at this pic - the blue is not my t-shirt, it is the sky! There are clouds (not cloud inclusions) at the 1:30 position. :-o

Jewels by Grace just posted a 1.73 ct AGS K VS1 OEC on her FB page. I don't know what your size or budget is, but she's asking $ 8,950.00. I'ts on her New Arrivals page on her website according to the post.

Sooooo... I've been horribly busy and haven't had the time to post. I did want to give Alex at ParksFineGroup a great big shout out for giving me and DF an awesome shopping experience. Anyone who has been to the diamond district in NYC knows how intimidating a process it can be. All I can say is that dealing with him was the antithesis of dealing with the jewelers and their hawkers on the street. All of my emails were answered within minutes, and in person he humored all of my requests to see the diamond in different lighting, especially out on the street, both in the shade and sunlight. I took a gazillion pics and videos. We were honest and told him we did want to see what some other vendors had, and he was fine with that. I can tell you about that experience in another post. Ultimately, he had the best performing OEC that we looked at for a fair price, so we went home with it. If you've seen his eBay posts, he posts great close ups and videos, as well as the certs. While one should always view a diamond in person, displaying these helps one decide whether or not one must make arrangements to go see the stone in person. We're glad we did. Alex took the anxiety out of our search for and purchase of my OEC. So, fellow PSers, please keep him in mind if you're searching for a new diamond. He also posts photos on Instagram at ParksFineGroup, which might be easier for some to follow.
