Newbie here...so please excuse if I have a few faux pas in my postings
I have been looking for a setting for my 1ct RB for several months. My future fiancé bought the center stone about 6 mos ago and I have been looking for the setting since....have narrowed it down to the Sierra in plat, which I loved
the first time I saw it on Pricescope or just a plain 4 prong Tiffany style setting. Also considered a setting with tapered baguettes on each side but can't find one within price range (~$1700). I am concerned the double claw prongs on the Sierra are going to overpower my diamond as it is cut a little deep (I think) based on what I have read on here and faces up a little smaller than an ideal cut 1 ct. As you can tell, I like the "classic" look. I am also in the process of having an eternity band made that will be ~3 ctw (15 pointers) and is made using stones from my Gma and Gpa's rings and also some new stones. I will not be wearing it very often, if ever, with ER as I think it will be too much bling for my RB to compete with
