Considering RG. AHH!

So the woman from the B&M store Im getting my Ritani setting though (the infamous store ) sent me the cads from Ritani today, asked me to ok it before they go ahead, and while I had one issue with the setting regarding a stone at the point of the pear or not, I was considering having them make it in rose gold. I had originally told them to set it in unplated YG, but when i got my first setting back it didnt look yellowy enough! I know that it depends on the alloy, but Im thinking the only thing that will satisfy my want for a warmer metal would be RG. My stone is and H, but its a pear so it shows its color. Also, Its being bezel set, so I dont know what that would do.... thoughts?

Did you mean unplated white gold? If you wanted more yellow, it could be 14k or 18k yellow gold. I would recommend trying on rose gold to see how it looks with your skin before ordering a ring made in it.

Yes I sure did mean WG
I knew someone would say "why not try YG", but I just dont like it, it doesnt feel warm to me like softer tones do. I was thinking of going into a mall store and asking to try some on tomorrow just to make sure if they would even have any. Plus, doesnt RG vary a lot?

Im thinking I maybe should leave it as WG sense that would give the illusion of a larger stone, I dont know. I think Ill go try it on and if i gush over it then thatll make my decision for me

Truly, I prefer the halo to always be white metal (if the halo diamonds are white). I think that compliments the center diamond the most to have the metal be almost invisible so the diamonds are almost all you see. You technically could have the shank/band a different color metal, but I think I would leave it all white metal for a halo ring, personally.

Yeah that makes a lot of sense. I was comparing the two rings next to each other and the halo looks a lot better in WG. I'm not completely sold on the band being WG though. Someone posted their oval halo with YG band and I liked the look of that. I have to decide by Monday I think so we will see
