I am concern about Girdle for sidestone. And also I have color D for center stone. I don''t know if I should get one color E and one color D for sidestone. Will it be a problem for color come with D center stone?

The Girdle is thin to slight thick and thin to thin for side stones. is it looks bad for side stones?

Please Advise,

Confusion lady

if the sidestones are not to big, I think that the E-D color and the girdle size are not important.

The most important for your sidestones is the diameter.
The stones must have the same size in mm, the carat weight can be a little different.

the EGL diamond is perhaps a F color !
I recently bought a 3.02 K color, the man who sold it to me said don't look at the EGL certificate (The true "K" was an "I" color for EGL!!!).

You are very lucky to get better color than your thought!

Now, I am little more concern about EGL! I hope this color D won't go lower grade color. Will it be possible happen from D to G?!

sorry, my English is bad...
What I told is that the K color diamond had a EGL certificate with I-color.
But the true color is K!
So I think that perhaps your EGL diamond can be a F (or worse?).

there is no difference, to stones have the same diameter, the AGS stone has ideal proportions but we don't know if the EGL stone has.
Is the EGL stone SI1? (or SI2, I1)
You can not be sure if you didn't use a loop a lot of times in your life.
You never will be sure if you don't have a true certificate.
EGL is not serious.

Well.. I am planning to purchase from Jewelry Zone(Internet). The previous e-mail about EGL. It is D SI1 0.32(EGL).

Maybe I should feel more trust with AGS than EGL.

a little more than $400/stone

You can trust GIA, HRD and AGS grades. They're very strict. As Stepahn stated, EGL isn't that reliable. I disagree on IGI... The Antwerp location is very good... IGI NY... Uhm, ehm, how could I say... Liberal? Aggressive?

true giangi!
and the only problem of the HRD is that they are not strict enough for the proportions.

Oh, I am strongly with you on that... The ranges are very wide, but as long as you know how to discern a good cut from a bad one, you should have no problems... In some way, HRD certs help you cause the list all #'s... They're too strict on finish grade... Very good is not that common...

PS Did you buy that light yellow diamond(can't remember the exact grade, sorry)??
