Oh, thank you, you're too sweet. Yes, DH and I eloped a week or two ago. We just decided that since we didn't intend on having a wedding, wedding, that we should just go ahead and do it. So we got married at the courthouse with just my son, BIL, and one of DH's friends in attendance. We took DS out for cake after to celebrate. Very low key, which is just what we wanted. No honeymoon plans at the moment. We're both busy with work and we're having trouble deciding where to go.

I wonder if many brides-to-be get caught up in the planning of a grand event and are so unsure, upset with various aspects that they'd really rather do it your way. Everyone, whether related or not would have had an opinion or an idea that they just must share.

This is your and your DH's wedding and you did it your way (the right way for the two of you)
